Step into the shadows and uncover the DARK secrets of the Don River Railway!
Led by experienced paranormal investigators from Tasmania's Most Haunted you’ll board our historic carriages for a night journey to Coles Beach, exploring and investigating the line under the dark Tasmanian sky. Along the way, you’ll hear the history of the site, the stories of those who once worked the rails, and discover what — or who — might still be lingering behind.
Tickets are $60 and include a complimentary beer, wine, or non‑alcoholic drink on arrival.
Applications for our 2026 volunteer train guard and train driver program are now open!
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sit in the cab, hear the engine come to life, and be part of the team that keeps Tasmania’s railway history moving — now’s your chance.
Don River Railway is now accepting applications for entry‑level Guards with a pathway to becoming a qualified Driver.
These volunteer roles are a rewarding way to contribute to the railway — learning new skills, being part of a close‑knit crew, and helping bring our heritage trains to life for the community.
